Independent Study Mentorship

(ISM) Program

Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Through Real-World Experiences Today

Independent Study Mentorship is an exciting, rigorous elective offered in Clear Creek ISD high schools, designed for high-achieving junior and senior students. Each student is expected to perform at the collegiate or professional level as they develop a final product for evaluation at the end of the semester.

Clear Creek ISD partners with active professionals in a variety of fields who serve as mentors and provide real-world experience to students who have been accepted into the ISM program.

With the mentor and teacher facilitator, each ISM student creates a unique plan of study. ISM is a one-semester advanced academics class and it may be taken twice for state credit. In CCISD, ISM is one academic year including both the fall and spring semesters.
