Students

ISM students will:

  • ★Identify and research a career field that inspires them
  • ★Develop professional communication and presentation skills
  • ★Learn directly from experts through interviews and shadowing
  • ★Build confidence, knowledge, and purpose for their post-secondary path
Mentors

Mentors serve as:

  • Experts and guideshelping students gain insight into daily work and long-term goals including a major project
  • Role modelssharing experiences and professional wisdom
  • Advocatesencouraging the next generation of leaders in your field

Next steps to start the ISM journey

For students

  1. 1Apply, get accepted, and enroll in the ISM Program for the upcoming academic year — typically the February before the academic year, during course selection.
  2. 2When you're ready to search for and identify your mentor, sign up through CCISD GetMyInterns by clicking the Register button at the top right of this page.
  3. 3Select Register under Students on the registration page and complete all required fields.

For professional mentors

2-step process

Raptor volunteer registration
Complete the CCISD “Raptor” system volunteer registration at apps.raptortech.com/Apply.
2
GetMyInterns registration
Complete the CCISD “GetMyInterns” registration by clicking the Register button at the top right of this page.
  • Select Register under Internship Providers and complete all required fields.
  • Post the job(s)* you wish to fill with a CCISD student mentee.
Note: a job “Title” is what the student will be doing at the mentorship.
*ISM mentorships cannot be a paid position, but are categorized as “Job(s)” in the GetMyInterns platform. Paid position opportunities are coming soon.
